This past week I've been trying to sell my handcrafted jewelry at the Saipan Grand Hotel. Business was slow, but I still enjoyed being out there talking to people.

New pendants and a baby goat

So I have a few more pendants completed and oh, I also have a new baby goat. Yep, that's me with my goat.

Here are a few of my new pendants. I've also added more pictures to the collections on the right Menu to the Horn and Aliling carvings.

This is a horn "sinahi" (crescent) pendant with spiral weave chord. You can see the spotting of the horn material which gives it a unique look.

This is me again posing for some photos to go into some marketing material I'm trying to finish.

I'm working on a bunch of new hooks and heart pendants so when those get done I'll get some pictures posted.

Welcome to Memoirs of a Shell Carver.

I'll be sharing some of my work here on this blog as I complete them. I'll also share some of my thoughts about the island of Saipan (and the Marianas), the Chamorro culture, and carving as an art form.
